Uncle's Angels Carry Him Home by Tracie
I love any kind of fine angel art. It draws you into an unseen realm where the real life is. There are so many different kinds of fine angel art I hardly know where to begin. Take the porcelain angel figurines.....with gorgeous detail of the face of the angels, the wings, the flowing robes.....I have seen so many that are just breathtaking in all colors.
Then, take the beautiful angel paintings and drawings. There are oil paintings, watercolor paintings, graphite drawings, just to name a few. The brilliant colors and the details of the paintings really draw me in. To see a display of fine angel art with angel figurines, angel paintings and graphite drawings all at the same time in a gallery is awesome.
A few days ago I was in my aunt and uncle's home because my uncle went to heaven. His angels carried him to his Heavenly home. His home going was very sad for all of us, but glorious for him.
Their home is full of angel collectibles. Porcelain figurines, ceramic figurines, oil paintings, watercolors, graphite drawings are all through their home. A lighted display highlights the living room full of angel figurines of every shape and size. Not to mention the guest bathroom décor theme is angels. Angel candles, linens with angels and curtains with angel fabric. It is an amazing experience to walk through their home.
I said to my Aunt, "You will make it. I just believe Uncle Howard left his angels with you." Her response was, "No, Honey, I'm sure His angels went with him."
You know, she is right. We each have our own our own guardian angels assigned to us. Somehow I knew that the fact that his angels were the ones that carried him into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comforted her. After I thought about it, it comforted me.
It is never easy to say good-bye to those we love. Even when we know the earthly tabernacle is worn out and breaking down, we try to prepare ourselves for the separation, but you are never ready for the emptiness and loneliness that you experience at times after their departure.
We take comfort in knowing where Uncle Howard is and we joy in the reunion he is experiencing in the Heaven. Yet, we sorrow for ourselves. I hope Aunt Gwen's wonderful display of angels and fine angel art in her home will somehow be comforting to her during this time in her life.

Cry-Baby [VHS] $5.64 John Waters's goofy, 1990 comedy about a Baltimore girl (Amy Locane) who can't decide if she should remain "good" in her 1954 world or hang out with the motorcycle boys is funny in a scene-by-scene way, but doesn't quite gel into the grand piece the director was hoping for. The cast is exceptionally likable, however, including Johnny Depp as an Elvis type and Iggy Pop as a chattering loony. The be... |

Blade [VHS] $1.00 The recipe for Blade is quite simple; you take one part Batman, one part horror flick, and two parts kung fu and frost it all over with some truly campy acting. What do you get? An action flick that will reaffirm your belief that the superhero action genre did not die in the fluorescent hands of Joel Schumacher. Blade is the story of a ruthless and supreme vampire slayer (Wesley Snipes) who makes ... |
