A smartphone for the masses is exactly what most people are looking for. Such a device needs to have the tech features to set it apart from the crowd but not advanced enough to compete with some of the heavy hitters such as the Nokia N95 or the Apple iPhone. Furthermore, a smartphone for the masses needs to be somewhat stylish, easy to use, and have a variety of features that would be perfect for the corporate environment. With everything it's got going for it, the Nokia 6120-classic could easily be described as the smartphone for the masses.
The Nokia 6120-classic is one of those rare gems on the cellular phone market that packs a lot of goodies into a tiny space at a low price. This quad band GSM phone is capable of global roaming and also bundles in 3G support for fast data transfers. Unfortunately, the 3G support is limited to America, but that's good enough for most people - including heavy business travelers who leave the country multiple times a year. They can still enjoy regular speed Internet access when they have left the borders of the United States.
For a smartphone, the Nokia 6120-classic is surprisingly small. It measures in at only four inches by two inches by half an inch approximately and weighs a measly eighty four grams. That's incredible considering how much technology is in this device. However, with a quick check of the battery specifications you can see exactly where Nokia skimped out on to make the Nokia 6120-classic a small, lightweight smart phone. The battery, in true Nokia smartphone style, only lasts for three hours of talk time and two hundred sixty hours of standby time.
You'll find that you can drain the battery far more quickly than that once you start toying around with the numerous features on this budget smartphone. There is a two Megapixel camera included which supports four times digital zoom, an extra camera for video calls, a music player, a video player, an FM radio, expandable memory via microSD, Bluetooth support, and all of the voice dialing goodness you would expect out of a modern smartphone from Nokia. The Nokia 6120-classic also runs S60 over Symbian which packs plenty of horsepower for any user's tasks.
