Does anyone know anything about the "Heart to Heart Foundation" in Pottstown, Pennsylvania? They are a 501c3
wondering what they are being charitable for and if there is a way to contact them.
Check with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General's office in your state. The Secretary of State will have generic corporate records telling you who the directors and officers of the corporation are and how to contact them. The Attorney General's office in most states oversees nonprofits and makes sure they are acting in the public interest, and usually requires them to file annual financial statements. And always ask a nonprofit for a copy of their IRS tax determination letter before you make a substantial donation.
