Photo Water
I need 8.5x11 flower photo water-marker for menu. When I enlarge web image, printed page is distorted.?
When I paste my own photos into Word, they are huge and very clear...I reduce them. But when I transfer images from web, they are very tiny...when I enlarge them, they look fine on the screen, but print distorted. I need a flower watermarker to cover the entire 8.5x11 page.
Print resolution is normally 300 dpi (dots per inch), web images need to load quickly so they are typically 72 dpi... very little data to enlarge, enough to view on screen but not ideal to even print 'same size'.
You need to use a print-ready image with enough resolution (information) for the size you need to output - there are limits as to how much you can enlarge very little image data.
8.5x11 what... inches? A4? If so you need an image this size at 300 dpi - an A4 image will be around 30mb, a web image for the same output size can be compressed to around 75k!
