Makeup to make a black person look white/lighter complected?
I'd know how a black person can be made to look (naturally) white or lighter complected with stage makeup - i.e. like the Wayans brothers in "White Chicks" (the skintone, not the facial features), the black actors on "Mad T.V." or the family from the reality show "Black.White." We've tried pale foundation with little success, it looks completely unnatural.

Does anyone get it? I'm doing makeup for a PLAY, I am not looking to make myself lighter, I'm looking for tips on how to make the actors TEMPORARILY lighter for the purposes of ACTING.
you'll need to find a place that sells stage makeup, a good base helps, There used to be a product called dermablend that would do the job, but it's not cheap!
as for the feature issues, maybe experiment with putty ( ask a theatre pro about that, I don't know as much as I'd like) and of course there's the usual sheding tricks with makeup.
